Home again, home again.

Ada, I do thank you for the company. It was most pleasant to enjoy a dinner out on the town as well as a companion that I didn't want to break the neck of by the end of the night. It added to the night that I didn't have the M&M twins following a few steps behind and attempting to capture some part of your clothing.

Alfred, I do hope you can adjust to not having the room service and high-class resturants. Should you ever learn any sort of culinary art, do alert me. While Aaron cooks for the city, I doubt your talents should be wasted so. I doubt any of them could appreciate any of or even know what a Hollandaise sauce is. That offer remains open to anyone capable. No insult meant to your cooking, Aaron.

Devil's Gaze in the Storm
One person missing.
One sitting in jail.

I do wonder how many have been knifed in alleyways or hit by cars when they didn't realize what one was. I imagine a few may have been lured in by hookers and robbed, most likely beaten to unconsciousness. There's little danger with getting drunk and staggering out in World's End, but this world is quite different.

Should be interesting to see how many actually make it back with us.

In other news, Alfred, I must compliment you on your tastes in resturants. An excellent suggestion if I do say so myself.

Curious
And so we lose more. It appears that the old saying of the good passing away young and the evil living forever still holds true here. One could be moved to being philosophical about matters, but I prefer the believe it merely shifts events more into my favour. Elena was one of the few that had learned to predict my movements and plans.

Lannister, it appears you are about to become the whipping boy of the city once more. It is amusing how it goes in cycles in that way. We of evil do what we do wish while you take the blame. So good to see things shifting back into my favour. I don't believe it will be too long before the residents are demanding that you serve an hour in the stocks.

Perhaps we could have an effigy burning instead. We lack rotten vegetables to throw.

I wonder how long before they move on to demanding Zelda's head.

I suppose I should be glad that I am not a five year old running about again. That said, the skulls of children are so much easier to crush should any of them cross my path. I won't waste time as Shu did attempting to convince them that the clocktower is an alien in disguise. All of you under four feet tall should stay off the streets and out of the way. Should there become too many, I will simply release a pack of Cerberus dogs into the streets. They enjoy easy prey.

Bloodied
((The video pops on, showing Wesker standing there with a less than pleased look on his face. Dust and small pebbles dot his hair and clothing interrupted only by the streak of blood coming down from his hair and across his cheek. Evidentally, it's not a good idea to be underground when an earthquake strikes.))

"I don't see much structural damage, but I do suggest that no one try to put more weight than necessary on the tunnels that run beneath the city. I take it we all survived the earthquake?"

((The sound begins as a low sob, sounding like a hurt child. It spirals upwards to an insane screaming. After what sounds like forever, it tapers off to the sobbing once more. Little wonder people sometimes reach into the sewers to rescue a lost kid only to find a monster ripping their arm off.))

"I see that thing has escaped. I should have dealt with it earlier."

((With that, it shuts off.))

I have always been amazed at how many choose to scream at the storm instead of prepare for it. Even those that do ready for the coming winds and rain cannot seem to agree on a plan. I will give Lannister, Zelda, and Shinra my admiration though. Pity they cannot pull in the same direction instead of different ones. There may have been some wisdom in the Task Force combining with Zelda's guard. A bundle of sticks is far harder to break than two thin bundles.

It has nearly been a year since they took all the younger people before. It would be about that time again.

Kurama, I will be keeping close to your den if that is where all of you are staying. Simply because they did not take you before does not mean they will not this time. I would advise keeping a watch on Hiei. I think he was one of the ones we lost during it. Kuronue would know for sure.

Ada, should you need me, call for me. Chris, the same is true for you.

It appears we need to have a discussion, in person. You may come to me or I will to you. Your decision.

I am often reminded that the more things change, the more they remain the same. I believe I should return to my research. Current events hold little interest for me any longer.

I suppose asking for volunteers would be a waste of my time and yours.

Locked to Ada:

I will be topside later should you wish to let Janus and Handsome have some time together. I have recently discovered how deeply my own folly can lead me. It is an unpleasant experience.

Locked to Kurama's Friends:

As you may or may not be aware, the former Kurama died of a hideous disease. There have been situation where it returns even after the subject passed away of it once. It is called 'Geostigma' and is characterized by patches of rotting blackness. I would suggest all of you keep an eye on this Kurama and alert me if you see anything of that sort. It can and does cause mental breakdowns as well as intense pain. Delusions are not unheard of.

More arrivals. I had hoped the gods might be tiring of this eventually. At least there are few more surprises they can spring on me with those of my world unless they choose to bring Sergei to this place.

Despite my annoyance with the dreams, I find them informative as well. What is that old adage? What doesn't kill us makes us stronger? That would be the rumour at least.

We know that there is some sort of fight going on for this Tower, that it is the nexus point of all worlds... yours, mine, and everyone's. If it falls, then all realities cease to exist. This Crimson King wants us to help him or it to destroy the Tower. Why? We don't know just yet. Perhaps it is like that demon and wants everything destroyed, to dance on the tombstone of the universe. If no one is allowed to be neutral, then what do we gain by destroying possibly ourselves along with all the worlds?

What is worth fighting for?

Then we come back to the idea if those who die against the Crimson King may or may not come back to life. True, we do return when we kill each other most of the time, but the gods have killed before and that person not returned... or at least not as the person they were before. An interesting choice either way.

My hatred for holidays remains after that display. Easter is not for another week or two. I do wonder what will happen when the gods realize that. Last year, they turned us into half-animals if I remember rightly. Aaron had rabbit ears, didn't he? It's always something foolish for those sorts of days. I suppose that is better than Elena being a sheep.

The dreams will be coming soon, I think. The tower is closer, and the ocean's water has gone red. Have a care going down to the beach. Even if you do manage to get past the lobstrosities, we've never made sure of what that crimson-purple water can do to a person. It could be a poison for all we know. In the end, it's ocean water and undrinkable, but we do always have one or two fools that are willing to try it.

Faring well, Yuusuke? I would hate to consider that there was permanent damage although it would be fitting. I doubt the others would appreciate the justice of it as much as I would or the reminder it would serve to you.

The Tower has begun to draw closer again. The water remains clear for the time being. A single rose was blooming from the beach's black sand earlier. It is about that time. I wonder what it will bring us this time.

A last question if you will, all. Who is 'Josh' and why has he left a crayon drawing of the beach and Tower pushed down through the grate? There was another bit of this odd artist's work with it, showing a lake, a boat, and someone pulling another person out of it. Strange.

While I can assure you that Kurama is well, but I can also assure you that you will not be getting him back. I will be keeping him with me until he can fend for himself. You have proven yourselves incapable of taking care of him, therefore, I will. Yuusuke, you owe me three broken bones.

Prince, when this is over, I plan to have a conversation with you about Elle. It will most likely not end well. There is a reason few choose to intrude on my business.

Alfred, thank you for reassuring Elle when someone chose to torment an innocent child.

God With a Devil's Grin
It appears that the gods have decided to play one of their many games. For those of you that are still capable of reading, it appears that some of our number have either been changed to another point in their lives or regressed in age. I've seen it before.

I do not suggest that the children attempt to cluster around me this time. I can't say that I care to have them everywhere. I was forced to last time.

Elle? Kurama? Chris? What's your status?

I see that no one saw fit to offer themselves up. No matter. It does give me the chance to select someone that matches the experiment I need to conduct. I do regret not being able to work on this as I wanted before, but circumstances interrupted me. Mr Fair, I would like to pick up our research as well. I had many interesting leads with your Mako tainted blood and tissue.

Not a Human
I had forgotten what a strange sense of humour the gods had. Encountering a pack of leprechaun drinking their way down the street and faeries at the fountain was most unexpected. Having obtained a sample of each, I will dissect them later most likely. One never knows what might come in handy.

It was, however, amusing when the one offered me gold to let him go. When that failed, he proposed a pornographic picture of Elena. Having already seen that, I saw no reason to grant the creature its freedom.

I require a subject again. You all may choose, or I will. It matters not to me either way. Human preferably although demon or other species would be acceptable. Male or female is inconsequential as well. Volunteers would be most welcome. If not, as I said, I can choose for myself. You have until tomorrow to decide.

Mr Fair, a moment of your time if you will.

Here again?

This was not where I had expected to end up once more. I was surprised to be greeted by Janus, the direwolf still a puppy. My records indicate that I have been gone only twenty-four hours, but it was longer in my world, nearly a year or two.

There are worst place I could have been.

That was most unpleasant. I do hope someone captured that demon. I would hope that not a wasted effort on my part.

It seems I have missed quite a bit. Anyone who would care to bring me up to speed?

Sickness/T-virus
When the video pops on, Wesker is standing in the middle of his quarters. Blood is everywhere, sprayed in fits and starts against the walls, floor, and even some on the ceiling. With his healing abilities, it's hard to tell how long they've been at this. When his gaze moves towards the communicator, his eyes are mostly a washed out blue, the pupil hugged by a fiery ring. Strange, his 'normal' eye colour is a bright blue, not one that's nearly white. He's streaked with as much blood as the room is, his hair red with it and a mask of it across his face. A long cut runs from his temple down to the cornre of his lips, laid open still and not healing now.

"I am growing tired of this," he says, the words more of a growl than human language.

A barrage of electricity hits him, throwing him back against the wall and a black streak moves across the view of the camera. The wet crunch of bone and shriek of metal against rock is unmistakable. It darts out of view soon enough. Wesker is left pinned against the wall, one sword driven through his right hand and shoulder, effectively keeping him against the stone. The other blade is sunken into his throat. When he bleeds from both, it's more of a slow dribble than the gout it should be.

Wesker grins then, a disturbing sight through his mask of gore. Between his teeth is something small and green. He crunches down on it. Within seconds, tendrils of green burst from his chest, the plant seeking any bits of blood it could find. The swords are jerked out, and that flash of black is seen again as the killer opts for a damn fast retreat versus getting caught up in the vicious greenery. The plants fill the scene for a time, twisting and moving. Evidentally, they are T-virus resistant or were pre-infected since there is no mutation into something like Plant 42. In a short time, they all die, turning to ash and nothingness. Wesker's body is left lying on the side, facing away from the camera thankfully.

It clicks off as it times out.
